We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now and we are up +141.15 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!
Here are our best bets for today’s action at Churchill Downs race track.
11:30 am ET Churchill Downs (Race 1) – I’m Your Man 5/2 (2-star play)
I’m Your Man, a son of Vino Rosso, fetched $95,000 when led through the ring at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale in 2022 and the youngster made the perfect start to his racing career when coming from off the pace to score by 1.75 lengths in a $50,000 maiden claiming contest in his debut at the start of this month.
Ricardo Santana Jr retains the ride and his mount can help trainer Norman Casse improve on his impressive 38% strike-rate (5/13) at this meeting.
3:45 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 10) – Juncture 5/2 (2-star play)
The 4-year-old Juncture showed good form in Europe, including when placed at Group 3 level on a number of occasions. Her sole victory since switched to the Brad Cox barn came when taking out the ungraded Ouija Board Distaff Stakes over a mile at Lone Star Park in May.
However, she showed good form when 2 lengths 3rd in the Grade 2 Rodeo Drive Stakes over 10 furlongs at Santa Anita last month and looks up to scoring today.
4:14 pm ET Churchill Downs (Race 11) – Xigera 3/5 (3-star play)
The 3-year-old Xigera has been in good form this year, winning 4 of her 5 starts including when completing a double to register a 3.5-length victory in the Grade 2 Mother Goose Stakes over 9 furlongs at Aqueduct at the end of last month.
The Nyquist filly remains open to improvement and is taken to complete a hat-trick having won at this venue with regular pilot Julien Leparoux riding on her penultimate outing.
